All Aboriginal and Islander members of the Uniting Church are automatically members of Congress. Any other Aboriginal and Islander Christian may also become members of Congress by:

  • Confession of their faith in Jesus Christ
  • Declaration of agreement with the vision of Congress and its value statements

If Aboriginal and Islander Christians who already hold membership in other denominations wish to participate in the full life of Congress, they can become Members in Fellowship.

Our aim is for every Congress member at some stage in their Christian journey to be engaged in formal and non formal training and study - to become a lifelong learner. The UAICC provides National Leadership and Community Development Training programs through its Yalga-binbi Institute for Community Development and strongly supports the associated training organisations Wontulp Bi Buya and Nungalinya College.

For further information on becoming a member of Congress, please contact your local state office through the on-line directory or call the National Office on (07) 4773 5077.
